OMF Basic 1.5 released

I present to you the latest update to OpenCart Mobile Framework Basic.

This time compatibility was the main focus of our work. We have a collection of OMF compatibility patches, which had to be organized and it was time to find a simpler and more convenient way to apply them.

That’s why the key feature we have added is the Patch enabler. You can now turn on and off patches directly from the OMF Admin panel in a single click.

The payment process is a crucial part of a mobile shopping experience. That’s why in this release even more payment gateways are supported by default.

Since checkout is equally important, you will find included patches for yet more checkout extensions, as well.

With OMF v1.5 your mobile customers will also be able to create a Wish List and add items to it. This feature is really good for marketing purposes. You can disable the wish list from the OMF Admin panel.
Images have never looked better on your mobile site. We have introduced High Quality images to help you place the emphasis where it should be—on your products.

Besides being beautiful, the images on your mobile site are also smart. Using a method which loads images with the resolution that the specific device needs, they look good on any screen and bandwidth is saved.

As always, we have considered making customization easier. With the newly added Custom CSS field in the OMF Admin panel you can experiment with CSS, add your own code or use ready snippets. All of this is as simple as pasting text in a box. No files to modify.

This is a feature release with many under-the-hood improvements which makes OMF the high performer that you expect it to be. We try to balance between adding features and optimizing the existing ones to be able to deliver your mobile customers a great experience. Several small issues were fixed, too.
